Fall Meeting

  • Read chapters 1 – 8. 
  • Complete the response activities in the book as you read by writing in the book or in your journal if you prefer, we will talk through many of these in our meeting.
  • Specifically be prepared to share your Best Case Scenario activity responses on pages 55 – 58 ( you will all read them aloud).

Spring Meeting

  • Read Attached
  • Watch this TedTalk based on the book The Good Life. Note: we recommend watching this 12 minute video no more than 48 hours in advance of the meeting so it is fresh (https://www.ted.com/talks/robert_waldinger_what_makes_a_good_life_lessons_from_the_longest_study_on_happiness)
  • Complete the Love Langauages test and bring your ranking to the meeting (https://5lovelanguages.com/quizzes/love-language)
  • Come prepared with key topics, standouts, take-aways, ahas, etc. This meeting will be more discussion based than in the past. 
  • Come prepared with three different relationships from your life: one that you admire where the person is older than you (parents, mentors, aunt/uncle, family friend, etc.), one that you are part of that is healthy and fulfilling, and one that you are part of that you want to improve. We will be discussing these throughout the meeting.
